Many contractors prefer to use SuperTie XV because a lesser quantity of ties are needed for the same job, when compared to the Light System. For example, with a standard concrete mix (viz. concrete that reaches initial set in one hour), if concrete is placed at 5 feet per hour, a 24 inches on-center pattern is commonly used with the Light System, but with SuperTie XV, the same job will allow ties to be spaced 36 inches on-center. This results in less than half the total number of ties required.
SuperTie XV components cost more than Light System components, but as a lesser quantity needed, materials costs per job are nearly identical. Yet, with laborers handling less than half the number of ties, you'll find your overall costs to be even lower with SuperTie XV.
